　House Houseは，23回めとなる毎年恒例のDICE AwardsでGame of the Yearを受賞した。これは，昨夜オーストラリアの独立系デベロッパーに与えられた3つの栄誉の1つである。

　Untitled Goose Gameは，Remedy EntertainmentのControl，Kojima ProductionsのDeath Stranding，Mobius DigitalのOuter Wilds，ZA / UMのDisco Elysiumを制してGame of the Yearに選ばれた。

　勝利は，背後にあるスタジオの大きさでとくに注目される。 House Houseは小さなインディーズデベロッパであり，通常このような賞はAAA作品が支配的な栄誉を受けていた。

　ここ5年間のGame of the Yearの勝者は，God of War, The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Overwatch, Fallout 4, そしてDragon Age: Inquisitionだ。GOTYで同程度のサイズのスタジオが最後に受賞したのは，2012年のThatgamecompanyのジャーニーまで遡る。

　Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences （AIAS）は，House Houseに，Outstanding Achievement for an Independent GameとOutstanding Achievement in Character ―名誉あるガチョウに対して― の各賞を与えている。

　ただし，賞の面で最大の勝者はRemedy Entertainmentで，これはControlで4つの栄誉，Action Game of the Year, Game Direction, Art Direction, Music Compositionを受賞した。

　複数の賞を受賞した他の唯一のゲームは，Kojima ProductionsのDeath Strandingであり，これは技Technical Achievement とAudio Designで表彰されている。

　Sony Interactive Entertainment Americaの製品開発担当副社長であるConnie Booth氏が殿堂入りした。Booth氏は21年以上にわたってPlayStationで働いている。
